OK - the explosions were actually charges inside the car - had a 120mm HE shell hit it there would have been nothing left - the squishy bit was genuine however.

    I was wondering about that...

Not so much the damage effects on the car, but the fact that a tank round would go straight through the other side... Since there was no anti ballistic barrier, i thought someone might be about to have a bad day :D

Surely it isn't legal in Britain to fire a tank round through a car in a public park?

    Hahaha!

I never understood those who drove Yugo or Moskvitch cars. It's like picking up the beastly girl with rotten teeth when you could have gone for anything else :p

hey ....i may have picked up some beastly girls but never any with rotten teeth ..thats where i draw the line !! , besides they werent beastly when i found them at 2am closeing time ,,its only that cursed morning daylight that ruined their good looks ...hmmm ..perhaps i was messing about with vampires ??..i do have some hazy recollections of some of them trying to suck the blood right out of me ...but not any evidence of the telltale puncture wounds..a mystery indeed..

It was for the best, with luck it might have been recycled into something more useful, like coat hangers. :D

Actually, they always looked liked decent, good value little cars to me - for the price they were OK - Jeremy Clarkson (the guy in the film), however, is a sports car fanatic and pretty much hates anything that's not a mega expensive, mega high performance sports car - of course, the vast majority of us don't drive sports cars, can't afford them and would find them highly impractical. The Yugo didn't really have a chance with Mr Clarkson, I'm affraid - but then neither would most ordinary cars.

    :(

yeah, i used to watch Top Gear (great show by the way), and Clarkson's not too big on small, functional cars

give him a DB9 though, and he will dance for a year

No that was Fičo :D Yugo was rather good comparing to that one or Polski Fiat (Peglica).
Well top gear did try to shoot Robin Reliant into the orbit as reusible spacecraft (didn't quite worked but they made the history anyway)

I love the marching music when the tank appears. Gives me that 170-1800 feeling

    BMG

Thanks - all very entertaining ...

    :D

Incidentally - did you know that the Perodua Kelisa
incident happened recently and caused a small international incident with the Malasian government complaining about the treatment of a car that is the pride of their nation.

    :-?
