British Air Base pictures anyone???

    Im planing on making a 1/72 scale diorama of a british air base set in either britain (1940-41) or africa (1941-1942). The problem i have is it is very hard to find any pictures for referance. Does anyone know of and books or website that could help me find such pictures??? thanks

    Do you want a fighter base or a bomber base? They are quite different...

    Bomber bases generally had to have a concrete runway.

    Well my thought was to have 4 or 5 spitfires on the edge of the runway. But I dont know how to make it look yet. ps thanks of the layout pic commando, I wish the legend and list was better quality.
