The finest in the world, was how Malta's C-In-C and Governor, Field-Marshal lord Gort, described British infantry in Malta. This photo shows Brigadier K. P. Smith, O.B.E, standing In front of his camouflaged car, taking the salute as a long column of British troops in Malta marches past.
