The Browning M1919 Machine Gun was widely used throughout the 20th Century by many nations. It was a mainstay of US Infantry & Marine Units in WW2 with designated squads usually available in 2 or 3 man crews so that support could be given to troops moving forward or to defend Look Out posts & Defensive Perimeters. It was also used as an Anti-Aircraft weapon by the US Navy.
