Because of a remark I made in the "museums" topic I guess I'm stuck for it now. :D No really, I would be happy to try and organize something like this but it will be rather hard, seeing as the possible attendants will probably come from all over Europe, arriving in different places, and some will have to stay overnight in the city. Therefore I would like to hear some suggestions as to how we are going to make this happen. No signing up yet - we will first have to see if it is at all possible...

That would just about triple the troubles of organizing it, especially for someone under the age normally taken as a limit for bookings and such (that is, me). If I were to organize such a trip, trust me, you can fill your weekend with just Brussels. :D

I agree, Bovington is good (It's only 30 minutes from me!)

We need to establish a place or event, and a date.
Brussels is a good choice, as it is fairly central in terms of the distribution of the European members, though an 'event' day at Bovvie would be great!

Hmmm, I would say that Bovvie is not the easiest place to get to unless you are driving.
Besides, I don't want to run the risk of organising this! ;)

I guess you sort of gave yourself away there, trackpin/Capt. Mainwaring/tankpark/merlin.

The reason why I proposed to do Brussels was partly because the city is accessible; it has its own airport and such. But I think the diversity of location of the members would still make this kind of planning a total mess wherever the destination.

We are talking two different projects here. Yet I'd like to contributie to the Brussels project ( since I know very little of Bovvy) All I know is that Brussels Amry museum:
-is close to Brussels central train station: I walked it in 10 minutes
-is close to Brussels international airport
    -has free entrance (!) 8)
-is something REALLY worth coming to belgium for!
    -the collection contains:
    -T-34
    -Pz4 ausf H
    -Sherman Firefly
    -Churchill tank
    -Hetzer
    -Spitfire
    -C-47
    -Junkers Ju 52
and so on, and so on...

If you want, I can post some pictures that I made of the Brussels Amry museum collection.

Well, I wouldn't mind if we went to Brussels. Although there is much more to see in Bovvie, for me the most important thing would be seeing the forum members, my "family".

    Awww... :)

That's sort of what I would go to Brussels for, since I already have been there once. On the other hand, I've been there for only 3.5 hours, so can't really say I've seen it all. :D
