Thanks GS. There's a lot of frustration at times, but the end result is worth it.

Thanks for the kind comments Ron. I haven't met any WW2 vets around here with the jeep yet, but next week we have a Dieppe commemoration ceremony at the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry memorial. Since I'll actually be in the country this time, I'm thinking of driving down there for it in the jeep. There's not many RHLI Dieppe vets left, but I think last year two or three managed to attend.

Still nothing yet. Fingers crossed, but I'm not expecting much.

Don't you think it would be a bit hard to see out the windshield? I prefer my accessories on the back bench....

I thought the Jeep was lonely parked in that big garage all by itself, so I found it a friend. This is a 1971 M38A1 CDN 3.

Found this and thought of you George. Imagine if this washed up on a beach.

Please, please, please do not paint your jeep camo! There is substantial debate over what the "correct" colours were, but 33070, 34087 and 319 are good matches. Just google these colour codes and you should find a good variety to choose from.

Ran across this post while rambling around the forum. Last year our new neighbor, (who we see 'maybe' a couple times a year - he lives in "The Cities" ) had a group up for Deer season and one guy has an old jeep that I've been promised a closer look at this year. Deer season starts next week.

I may be hunting a Jeep.
