    Great link Martin Bull.
I know little about armoured brigades in Burma and wouldn't really be surprised if there were none as Burma is poor tank country and most of the fighting was done by the air forces, Navy and Infantry.

I do know that there was at least three armoured brigades in burma, the 254, 255, and the no. for the third i forget. what i'm interested in is wether they were used in operational manouevre warfare or just simply as support for the infantry.

It looks like the book you may need is 'Tank Tracks To Rangoon - The Story of British Armour In Burma' by Bryan Perrett ( Robert Hale, 1992 ) although I have to say that I haven't read it....
