For those of you who do not know, there is an effort underway to restore Camp Toccoa, the training ground of the Airborne in WWII, as a historical site. Here is the URL for the effort's official site..it includes a seven minute video detailing the current plan:

    http://www.camptoccoaatcurrahee.com/

I'll keep this brief and I won't bog you down with the hard sell, but it is my hope that this will be of interest to the history buffs on this forum.

Thanks for your time and attention.

The website is impressive. While I have no connection with Toccoa, I wish you well. There are certainly many around here who will also find it of interest. Thanks for posting.

As you noted, Owen, yes, it is the same museum. The Camp Toccoa project hopes to sync with the museum for a variety of efforts.
