Can you just imagine a tank or an infantry unit with a laser.

Lasers are already implemented in the space program. As for ground forces, not too far away. The price is the hold up.

Yeah, could you just imagine one soldier with a laser? It would be like having a machine gun in the Revolutionary War. Being able to mow down entire regiments and even destroy heavily armored tanks with ease. Wow!

Lasers are a tricky thing. Why would an infantry man want a laser? Lasers work by concentrating energy into 1 focused point. That energy would then superheat the focal point and melt it or cut it.
Lasers need a massive power source to be of any threat. Any infantry man shooting a tank with a laser would be a sitting duck. Buck Rogers is still far away [IMG]

I think lasers are not too fay away from being used as handheld weapons. They use lasers all over the world, and in space, but i havn't yet found somewhere that uses them with tanks or infantry units.

While I don't agree with Peppy's brashness, [IMG], I do agree that this "laser" discussion belongs in the Free Fire Zone. I'll move it shortly.
