    Hi everyone!

I inherited my grandfather's ( Allan Poyner (gnr)) WW2 memorabilia and photos etc. I'm going to start piecing together his journey, tracing his steps. I know he fought in England , Italy, Holland and France. He was called upon to help in the epic Battle of Ortona.
Once I figure out how, I will post some great pics! Looking forward to sharing info with you all!!!

Sounds like he was in 1st Canadian Division ort the supporting arms. I know the Ortona battlefield fairly well.

Hi Heather. Glad you could join us. There are several sites devoted to Ortona. Sheldrake is correct, the1st Canadian Division seems to be correct.
