    Yep, the first complete, truly decisive American victory in the Pacific War.

    Though fortune and the Gods of war smiled on the US at Midway it wasn't entirely due to luck, not by a long shot. The Magic program of deciphering the Japanese naval code although not as celebrated as the Brits Enigma sucesses actually provided more timely intel that was then turned into results on more than one occasion. Midway and the shooting down of Yamamoto's plane being the most notable.

    concerning Hong Kong , it was one of canadas most heroic defences of the war , a few victoria crosses were awarded after and during war to soldiers who fought in Hong kong.
