    Such was the fear of a gas attack that masks were issued to British civilians, like the little girl below, a year before war broke out. The evacuation of children from major cities was a logistical nightmare that required an army of volunteers, as shown in the poster at Above.

    A special gas helmet was supplied for children less than two years of age; the mothers above are shown how to use it.

    poster for wearing gas masks

    here is poster which always remind people to wear their Gas mask during WW2 in Britain. These were the hardest days, as the heart was terrifying always for the gas attack.
