Chinese Browning 1900?

    I have a Browning 1900 here and i saw something that looked like it was written in Chinese... Anyone know anything about this?

    not chinese. it's the 7.65 browning 1900 semi-automatic pistol. quite scarce too, produced in belgium by fn herstal, it's a 7 shot mag, the rear sight incorporates a loaded indicator. often called the browning number 1 ..hope this helps, ray..

    Well, i kinda knew that already, but i was hoping somebody could help me find out more about the markings.

    the chinese version is subtly different by barrel shape,colletor

    I wonder why the markings are like that, they look Chinese to me, but i am most likely wrong, thanks for the help Ray

    1943, I thought the run ended earlier? found this one for sale and it does say production finished in 1912..

    Deactivated Browning Model 1900. John Moses Browning is one of the greatest names in the entire history of firearms. This being one of his most famous models. After disagreements with gunmakers Winchester, whom he was working for at the time, he moved his operations to europe (Belgium) to Fabrique Nationale, better known as FN. Where immediate interest was shown, and the 1900 was soon in production.This historic model finished production in 1912. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
