   I'm looking for any information on co. k 17th infantry. My great uncle, Raymond Matera, a machine gunner, was in there. Anyone have any information in regards to this particular infantry?

   The 17th Infantry Regiment was part of the 7th Infantry division. You can find some information about the 17th in the Aleutians at this site.
