Courvoisier Bottle -- WWII?

    Hi

    My buddy gave me a bottle he thought I would like.... empty. It is a Courvoisier Cognac Bottle with an US Army Open Mess sticker on it. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is World War II or what era. It has a cork rather than screw top.

    The Open Mess lable has teh number 7616050.
