Just thought that I'd share a very recent addition to my collection, namely a wehrpass to an aircrew member of Ju-52 units who participated in some of the wars major battles (see the second post). As well as the wehrpass are 3 licenses, one of which - the green Rollschein - qualified him to taxi JU-52's while another one has a great picture of him wearing his awards. The admin staff weren't up to scratch as someone mixed up the date of him leaving a unit and entered the date of leaving as being in 1941 despite him having joined the unit in 1942 - and then subsequent admin staff just carried on adding to the wrong dates, putting 1941 instead of 42 all the way down until he joined I./TG 1 in 1944!
And as can be seen from the campaign pages, he flew as an aircrew member of LLG 1 which towed gliders during Operation Mercury, the invasion of Crete, flew on supply operations into the Kessel at Stalingrad while a member of KG z.b.V 1 / TG 1 and also on supply flights to the Invasion Front after D-Day.
To be honest, I have no idea. I don't have any other examples of these type of licenses so don't have any others to compare it to.
Hi Hucks, though I don't collect Passes of anykind, I am in total AWE of this one ;-)) Thanks for showing it and 34 headed yer way ;-))
