Do any of our U.K ( & possibly others) members deal with this company?

I used them for the first time about 6 weeks ago. I have not received my models, but they have got my money :(

I am beginning to get a little apprehensive, as they won't reply to my e-mails either. :x

Cromwell models are based in Glasgow and have been around for quite a while. I saw a post from the owner (it's almost a one man co.) over on the missing lynx forum, he checks that regularly, where there had been some personal difficulties in meeting orders. Try contacting them again via phone or email.

I've got the same problem with Cromwell again!

I've placed an order, 5 - 6 weeks ago, but have heard nothing from them yet.

Once bitten, twice shy, I have not sent any money until they confirm the value of my order + p&p. But are they still trading? Some say so, but they are on holiday. Six week holidays, I'll have some of that!!!

A number of the firms that do resin kits make them to order (S&S spring immediately to mind) - they don't keep stock as such.
That could be one reason for the delay.
And Cromwell kits are very good.

    Do you think so?

    Average I'd say.

But their range is the best (widest) that's why I use them, and they are cheaper than most, if dearer than some.

Hmm, I am going back a few years - Cromwell were the single most expensive range available and were complete kits, but in resin rather than injection-moulded. Separate hatches etc...
I think my pair of ZSU-23-4s were around the £18 mark each, ten years ago.

    Oli.

Yes, Cromwell only deal in resin.

    I prefer injection myself.

The Cromwell prices are dearer than injection, but competitive with other resin manufacturers.

But for me, it's their broad range that gets my vote.
But their poor service that gets my goat!

HAT/ Armourfast are becoming a rapid favourite, mainly because they're two per box and simple to build for wargaming.
And at around a fiver per box they're cheap enough to attempt conversions...

    Oli.

I've built the armourfast Sherman. It's pretty good!

3 (or is it 4) variants of Sherman now - I've just treated myself to 4 boxes of Cromwells - and some of 76mm Shermans.
Artillery, Sdkfz 251 halftracks and trucks due out soon - brilliant for wargaming: back to the old days of pocket money prices.
