As I've seen here thread about wargames on the WWII theme, I'd like to tell about one of the best game ever about this war.

The game is based on source-engine, it's team tactical based 1st person action.
There are two teams : the US Army and the Wehrmacht, theater of war is destroyed europian towns and so on ( there are a lot of very interesting non-oficial maps ).

Gameplay is like this : each map has some number of flag-points which can be capture and protected by both teams and the aim is to capture all flags on the map.

Player can choose one of 5 classes : Shooter, Close Combat, Support, Sharpshooter, MG and Grenadelauncher, each team has it's own weapons and features.

If someone is intrested in this I'd tell more with great pleasure.

ROFL. I wouldn't call Day of Defeat Source entirely realistic...not at all really. Its kinda like COD Series, but only slightly.

And there is a Western Front version of Red Orchestra, called Darkest Hour. Its Red Orchestra, just on the Western Front :) Its a free download if you already have Red Orchestra (and is technically considered a mod). There is also a North African version of Red Orchestra too (another mod) called 'Mare Nostrum' but I don't think anyone ever plays that one.

Joe and i played it a while back, there has also been an update to the game, adding new weapons, maps and vehicles. Maybe you should try it.

I like to play WW2 games, those are my favourites. I like the settings, the weapons, the whole feeling about the games. There are many poorly made WW2 games out there, but theres one game that has really gotten my full attention, yes, it is Day of Defeat Source :) I can really recomend it, its easy to learn, but painfully hard to master.. Online shooter, for me the best one.
