    I finally saw the film today and both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, I had to really suspend my disbelief during some of the fight scenes but there are not a lot of films that do not require that in some way. All in all, it was well worth the afternoon!

    Go on then, I'll take that. Watched it the other day and was delighted to be prooved wrong! The film is excellent, bits of it were annoying but it was generally convincing and enjoyable. It did skirt around the more unethical activities of the Bielskis.

    In general though I am glad I picked it up on DVD.
