Oh Tommy...the plot thickens. Now I am not a Brady fan, I think he is one of the best, but to dump the phone the day he was supposed to meet with investigators is just plain stupid. Still, 4 games is a little much especially when you have players beating their wives, stealing and driving while intoxicated and they receive the same punishment. http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/id/13331590/tom-brady-4-game-suspension-upheld-roger-goodell
I keep hoping that they finally figure out that the deflated footballs were actually fart cushions in disguise.
The whole issue has become an annoyance to me. To me this has been dragging on for too long. Its almost as if has become blown up into something larger than it should have been. Yes if Brady knew about the deflated footballs it is wrong but the fact that it has become almost the scandal of the century for the past few months since the AFC Championship which was in January has gotten me dreading what will be in the next ESPN headlines every day.
There are no good actors in this melodrama. Brady and the Pats are cheaters. Roger Goodell is a capricious megalomaniac who can't seem to figure out how to apply "the rules" fairly because he's too busy checking the forecast of public opinion. There are no sympathetic characters in this mess. Not even us, because we keep talking about how tired we are of it. Well, as the Kardashians would say, "There's no such thing as "bad" publicity as long as they are talking about you." Go Vikes!
This kind of pertains as to how we all feel about this whole issue. http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/id/13334377/jackie-macmullan-tom-brady-needs-drop-move-on
Thanks for the link Smiley. I think McMillun is spot on. Drop it and move on. Tom will never be squeaky clean again.
