    Hi,
Have some information about my G.I. father. He was posted at Pheasey Farm 1943/44. He was about 20 at the time and his name was JOHN J JOHNSON. I know this is accurate but have nothing else except he wrote to my mother in 1944 so obviously around then as he sad he was coming on leave.....are there any lists of those who served in this area ?
    Many thanks, Newbie ,,,Mags.

Do you have any more information? Where is Pheasey Farm? What towns, etc.

Do you still have any letters or photos?

Thanks for your reply ..yes he was a G.I. certainly at Pheasey Farm in 1943/4. Wondered if there were any records of soldiers stationed there or where I could look up this on line. His name was John J. Johnson...a surprisingly common name.

Do you have any other information that would narrow it down? Birthday? State? Ancestry.com has a free draft card search. There are thousands of men with his name. Anything will help. Maybe look for a history of units at Pheasey? Did he make it home from the war?

It looks like the 4th Replacement Battalion was based at Pheasey Farm, and consisted of the 293, 294, 296, 302, and 322 Replacement Companies. Also based at Pheasey was the 1216 Engineer Fire Fighting Platoon, 3278 Ordinance Base Depot Company, and the 3885 Quartermaster Truck Company. There may have been others but that is what I found.
