Okay I have an account on facebook and happened to notice a friend from school joined a group called I hate Anne Frank, I read the comments on the site and frankly the comments made by members there are awful and disgusting, I cant believe people today are just so disrespetcful, people making comments saying she was not brave, she was a coward, she was not insprational, she was not smart and she was weak, and that they wanted to burn the book. This is so sad and makes me angry  although it seems that there just a bunch of whiney little kids that were assigned it for spring break, I still cant beleive it has 47 members on it, what do you guys think?

why not post the email of the founder of the group, that way people could personally send them their opinions. NOT to register them as spammers, post their email on spam grenade websites, etc etc. I'm a noob and not sure if it's allowed!!!!

[edit] or do a search for said group on fb and click on info for the details.

bottom of the each of the group page details is a "report group" link, or you can report individual posts made on the wall. i would have thought that if enough people report the group they might remove it???

    try this.....

    How do I report abuse?
You may report abuse by using the proper "Report" link that appears next to many site pics...
You may report abuse by using the proper "Report" link that appears next to many pieces of content on the site. You may also report another user by using the "Report/Block" link that appears at the bottom of a user's profile page. If this does not resolve the issue, we suggest that you block the person by listing his or her name in the "Blocking People" box that appears at the bottom of the Privacy page.

If you have already blocked an offender or have been blocked by an offender posting abusive content, please have another user report the abusive content or the offender through the one of the various "Report" links available on the site. Help Center | Facebook

Go to the group page. There's a Report Group link under the Members box.

Hi gregc. If you can't get it removed you can report it to an Association or a lobby, they usually have more power to remove hate content from the Internet. In some countries there are internet cops too. I don't know whether there is such an abuse reporting facility group in the U.S, but I suppose there would be . Another idea is to report it to the Anne Franck Museum in Holland, I'm sure they would do their best to help you remove it. anyway thanks for letting us know about this

Unfortunately this is now the world we live in. I often believe I was born in the wrong century.

Kids, and the books they have forced on them at school, not automatically a happy combination. Hardly much of a basis for condemning a generation or provoking the old 'Internet outrage' is it?

Personally, I hate Lord of the Flies...

If it is a private email, making it public can also get you a lawsuit depending on what country you're in.

Facebook doesn't have a good track record of removing Holocaust Denial groups so I doubt they would do anything here. Erwin Rommel on the other hand, don't even try to blink an eye since it'll be gone by the time you open!

Edit: The "Report Group" button is directly under the "Members" box. Seems to be a group made and largely joined by East Canadian High School kids, what on earth is in the water in Ontario? :D

Yes it is unless it is infringing or discriminating other people's rights. It may be a hate crime.

I have a question for you to pose to those who seem to think Anne Frank was a coward. As a game, ask them to move into a room about the size of their own kitchen (in America), share it with their entire family, and know that they will die, or be arrested and killed if they leave the kitchen.

Not a pleasant prospect. I wonder how many of these "brave-hearts" would survive a week of that without calling the "game off". For the Frank family it was no "game".
