Thank you for the kind words, we are trying to be fair and not biased and will not post what we would not want from others

Ditto....this forum is a place of great TOLERENCE.

I can only quote Oscar Wilde...

"I don't agree with your sentiment, my good man, but BY GUM, I'll fight for your right to express it!"

Thanks for your restraint to all the moderators.....volunteers ARE hard to find!

WW2 is still a subject that many people get worked up about. We should thank these volunteers for just that and more....

Would YOU do this for free?

I'll echo Skipper's words. I haven't been a mod very long, but it has made me look at the posts in a whole new way. I love the passion of discussion that this forum generates. Most of those who post have a genuine interest in the topics available. It's worth it to put up with a few of those who just want to start controversies to see the true dedication so many of us have.

I want to thank those contributors who make this forum what it is.

It's not so much that as they monitor the "tone" and try to "temper" the debate before it gets too inflammatory. Often times the moderation is not accepted with much tolerence and it is seen as an attempt at censorship. Whatever the case may be, caution should always be taken to remain polite and professional; especially when tempers flare up and emotions become fragile.

Do not ever feel that you can not post anything on this forum, as long as the ww2 related discussions are in the ww2 related forums and the FFZ ones are in the FFZ Forum as well. If it is the counter battery sub forum please feel free to voice your opinions and views on the forum how it is run, ideas for the future, and so on.

We are all here together to talk ww2 and don't feel that you can't approach any one of the moderators with any view or opinion on any subject without reprisals of any kind.

We simply are here to make sure the forum is run the way Otto wants it run and Otto is a fair man as are the mods of this forum, even if you don't see us as fair all the time, you will not get infractions for your views or opinions, they are after all what helps to create discussions.

Why was long time poster KRUSKA discharged?

I cannot remember anything untoward coming from him, and his lack of political correctness should have been seen as an asset, not a liability.

I propose he be reinstated on the grounds of past service.

    Why not conduct a poll?
    Vote 1..KRUSKA

You just heard Now?? Wow It was bad, I wont go into detail but he could of been a little more diplomatic that day. I was part of the Thread, But I stayed out.

Yes I did like and read many of his posts and thought he was OK.

This was already discussed, and a detailed explanation was given Why. I would suggest not to push this.

Yes It would be nice to see him Back, We also lost one more but I believe he left the Forums out of anger which I enjoyed his informative posts.

    Hope this Helps

The moderators don't discuss why members are banned, etc.

I would not ride this horse very long.

I just joined here a month or so ago. Have there been many neo nazi/ supremests drawn to this site?

Its interesting the fine line some of us have to draw in our lives sometimes towards our historical interests.

For example, some people here have avatars with the old hawkenkreuz and or badges that would be considered inflammitory on any other non WWII forum.

I dont have a problem with them, as I understand that most people here are probably good and have an interest in the nitty gritty history of the forum subject, rather than the practice an ideology.

I always am leary of letting new people in my house see my library, thinking they might judge me for having SS books and Mein Kamph among my many other books.

We usually have the occasional one waft through, spout his venom, get banned and move on. Sometimes, they go back to their buddies and get them to join and try to disrupt the forum. This is rare and is not usually successfull. Most members don't even know that they had been here, unless they were on at the time.

I am less concerned about their avatars of military regalia than I am than what they post. As an example, we strongly discourage swastikas in avatars, but if the member has a good reason for one, we can work around it, especially if their posts show a differing opinion than what would normally be associated with that or other similar images.

I guess that they would not want to see mine either.

Political correctness of some members???? It never happened. If you press your luck you press your luck. There are other sites for such members and we don´t need them. I appreciate Kruska for his cleverness but he also was stupid to push the limits as he did. And I truly think he meant it,too.

And this is simply speaking on my behalf and has nothing to do with the decisions made by the OKF...

More often than not it has more to do with the presentaion than the subject. Courtesy and politenenss, above all else, is key.

There comes a point in time when one stops mourning and move on with life.. :)

Gosh, the man must be wondering why his ears are always ringing

IMNSHO, no. I've read posts where one or two goobers said "It would have been cool to be in the SS", but I think it was more a case of admiration for uniforms, etc than it was for National Socialist ideals.....Regardless of political affiliations, they were foolish for wishing they could have actually participated in WWII.
