Paul, I wish I did, but the only source I know that would have these listed in it is a book put out by Patzwell publications. I think the book goes for about $55.00, and it has all 27,000 +++ DKiG names listed in it. Im trying to scrimp and save so i can buy a copy of it for myself and for Karl kaiser--a DKiG of U 181. :D

    Hello Mate...

Karl Kaiser is doing well but his wife is i'll. He sent me a long email a few days ago wondering why I had not written for awhile.

Anyway--thankfully, all 7 U 181 vets are still doing well. Karl sings in a Choir, Dieter Hille is doing well as ia Gunther Bartussek. Micki Muller is doing well but is difficult to get in touch with as he spends a lot of time in Spain. Walter Pfeiffer is doing ok, Bernhard Trenn is still writing his book and doing well.

When I get my new Credit Card in, I plan on getting that DKiG book from Patzwell. I have been wanting it for a year now but had not bought it yet. Since I havent bought any militaria in about a month--I think Im due for a great research book. I'll let you know when I get the book if it can still be gotten. Another book im going to try to get if one can still get it is the book that Walter Peel Fellgieble put out on the RKTs. I hope someone at somepoint puts one out on the DKiS recipients too--then it will be complete.

PS, ill send my best regards for you to Karl in my next email.

    Carl/Paul :

I am truly wondering how complete the DK book by Patzwell is ? I have heard of some problems of all cases with WaST in researching information for some of the DK vets of the Luftwaffe night fighter arm that have never been fully entered. One book which was quite sought after by Author Veit, and does not include many of these last month award winners, and even then no pics and a sentance of text on each person.......hmmmmm, no very descriptive at all.

    Hello Mates:

Paul, yep I had asked Karl for pictures and I got many of him. I just have to find them all again and ill gladly make you copies of them. I think he sent me around 20 or so pics. Some are of DKiG awards ceremony. He is recieving the DKiG from RKT Wilhelm Dommes. In the background in Kapitan Kurt Freiwald. They are in Singapore.

I also have some of him at the reunion in Bad Camberg. but it will take me sometime before I can afford to have more pics printed--currently im not working and looking for a job.

Thats great news--i'll inquire on the DKiS book, and if you can find a DKIG book--pls let me know and i'll buy it from you--but that will have to wait till november.

Erich, I dont know how complete the book is but, I would still love to have a copy of it. Ill ask Francois Saez what he knows on the Luft DKiG and how accurate the list is--he is into Luft DKiGs and owns about 20 or so Luftwaffe vets DKiGs--all cased examples. Boy--am I ever jealous. ;) I think he even has award docs to most of these DKiGs too--not sure.
