It is an RWD-14 Czapla. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RWD-14_Czapla

The engine cowl on the PZL is not the same and the wing angles down to give the pilot a better view. (see below)

Also it looks like the landing gear has some kind of suspension whereas the PZL does not.

They do at that Skipper. Just saw pics from different angles and I knew it was a different plane. That wing design is rather odd. Provides one large blindspot left and right front.

It was a toughie to find. :S!

Hey I'm smart enough not to leave photographic evidence, if you watched more CSI you would know these things! :)

yup, thanks, i remember the word Czapla now.

nice of you to ask :)

i left these models at the Berkeley California Ace hardware store hobby section display cabinet back 1996, theyve been there ever since. i moved to NY in 2003 and i hadnt seen them in 11 years so last week i asked if they would take pictures and email to me. they are all 1/72nd scale.

these models at the store are all the models i have left, my 2 best models broke when i had to take a 100 dollar greyhound bus ride back to new york, the vacuform myasishchev M-52 bounder which won model of the month at the san hose silicon valley IPMS meeting, and the scratchbuilt Breguet 763 which also won model of the month at a san hose silicon valley IPMS meet. i really hope i can get back the lockheed chain lightning and P-1A. i continued making models on the computer for the x-plane flight simulator and have been able to make a small income on that:
