Management, Great forum but of course there is a however involved. Upon receiving email notification that a message has been posted on a thread that one has subscribed to, why is it necessary to constantly visit the forum in order to revalidate one's subscription? Why not just continue emailing subscribers until the death of the thread or until they choose to no longer receive email notification of additions to the thread? Thanks for considering this. Bob Guercio
Can't answer that one Bob. You can turn off notifications, if you choose. That was one of the first things I did after I joined. To me, it was only needed if I didn't frequent the forum on a daily basis.
Slipdigit, Just the opposite. I want to stay subscribed to threads with instant email notification to me unless I take action otherwise. In other words, always assume that instant email notification and thread subscription, once chosen, is always desired unless notified to the contrary. Bob
Hello Bob, you can switch that option off in your account menu. Normally you shouldn't be bothered with that again.
Skipper, Can't seem to find that option. Just to make sure that there is no misunderstanding in what I am requesting, this is the statement in email notifications that I am taking exception to: There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again. I want to keep on receiving email notifications regardless of whether or not I visit the forum again. Thanks, Bob
