Enemy secrets were sometimes laid bare when aeronautical experts, held post mortems on captured aircraft. Here was an ingenious apparatus found in a rubber dinghy from a German bomber which had crashed into the sea. It comprised of kite, aerial and transmitting set used for sending out S O S signals from downed German pilots.
