At the end of Episode 3 in Band of Brothers it says that Albert Blithe never recovered from his wounds that he recieved on the outskirts of Carentan and died in 1947/48.
When I was researching about him I came across this: http://currahee.hispeed.com/wwwboard/messages/452.html
It is a post from the nephew of ALbert Blithe saying that Albert Blithe died in the 60s and even served in Korea.
Intresting because it clearly states that Albert Blithe died shortly after the war in the 3rd episode of Band of Brothers  .

I doubt it, if they didnt like him they would have got rid of him during the months of preparation for the filming. Apart from that, why cut him? He would not have appeared in any later episodes anyhow. The mistake is that at the end of the episode they say he died long before he actually did. Why make such a mistake?

Even the most recognised sources can make mistakes, mind you that is a fair mistake now isn't it!!!!

Who knows, maybe Stephen Ambrose was just too dumb to keep his facts straight? All I know is, it was a very sad moment, but I am glad he lived long after. Thanks for the info Jet!! [IMG]
