Wonder if there will be a surprise team getting to the top3. That would be something. Belgium should be good but who will surpise them all with the tactics and game play.Germany is a favourite again, but can Spain match them? Or France?

Spain losing to Georgia, albeit as a warmup, makes me wonder if they'll perform like they did in the World Cup.

Belgium, despite all their star players, always seem to lack team cohesion. They look amazing on paper, but fail to deliver.

France could be quite dangerous, especially with the home-field advantage and the support they will receive. But I can see them fizzling out like Brazil did in the WC.

    Here are my group predictions:

    A - France + Swiss
B - Russia + England (though don't be surprised to see Slovakia advance instead)
    C - Germany + Poland
D - Tough group to call if Spain fails to perform, but I think Spain + Croatia
E - Sweden + Italy (Belgium will fail to deliver in such a tough grouping)
    F - Portugal + Austria

    I would only change:

    E - Italy and Belgium
    F - Portugal and Iceland

But who knows, football championships are always unpredictable.

    France 2-1 Romania
Romania missed some great opportunities on tonight's game.
Dimitri Payet scored a fantastic goal in the last minutes for the win.

I watched the game at work (Giroud!!! - I'm a Gooner) and if France continue to play like that, I think they'll still get out of the group stage, but as I've predicted, they will get eliminated in the knock out round.

Yes France looked very vulnerable at the back. With some third placed group teams progressing as well as first and second there could be some shocks in store in the later knockout rounds.

England vs Russia is coming up. Perhaps the fight I'm older the two?

Anyway, I wouldn't sleep on Belgium, they have a great squad. If they don't come out big this time it with these lads they ain't going anywhere for a while.

Iceland prevented the Netherlands from advancing didn't they? They're a sleeper. Perhaps a Cinderella story of sorts?

Belgium has the same problems as Germany, the defense isn't that great. I don't think that players like Antonio Rüdiger would be part of one of the favourite teams like Spain, France or even Italy. And Rüdiger is injured...

I don't think that matches with Iceland will be interesting, they will play as defensive as possible.

To me, all of the 3 "big" teams (ESP, F, GER) aren't in their best shape. So i think that one of the smaller nations will make it this time. Belgium, Austria or Croatia are the first to name.

Let's hope these surprises won't be terrorist attacks.

In the latest months, some IS and Taliban leaders have been killed by drone strikes and they are keen to take revenge. Drones are cheap and can be handled easily after a few hours of training. There is no need for suicide attacks anymore.

    Albania 0-1 Switzerland

Switzerland scored early because of Albanian goalkeeper's mistake. The goal scorer was Fabian Schar. Later on Lorik Cana of Albania got second yellow card and was sent off the game. Albania showed a great performance later in the second half and played better than Switzerland who took the 3 points.

    Wales 2-1 Slovakia

Bale scored magnificent goal from a free kick. Ondrej Duda then scored a goal from a good action for Slovakia. And at the end Hal Robson-Kanu scored for the win of Wales.

    England 1-1 Russia

The first draw of the Championship. Eric Dier scored an amazing goal from freekick for England in the middle of the second half. When the game seemed to be over Russia turned the tide of the game by scoring a goal from a beautiful action in 90th minute. The goalscorer was Denis Glushakov although captain Berezutski played the biggest role.

Russia deserved their point from this game, fought to the end unlike England. Wales are going well and could give better teams a big scare.

Hodgson loves to keep his defence good. Might be that he has an early vacation coming on, Germany game later on,

Another day of the championship is over. Here's how the games ended.

    Turkey 0-1 Croatia

Croatia scored a nice goal from outside of the box in the first half. The goalscorer was Luka Modrić. Croatia had a few great chances which ended with hitting the bar. Turkey played very aggressive which earned them a lot of yellow cards and a bloody head for Croatia's Vedran Ćorluka.

    Poland 1-0 Northern Ireland

The only goal on the game was scored in the beginning of the second half by Arkadiusz Milik. Poland dominated through the whole game and had some good goalscoring chances. Northern Ireland haven't made a threat to Polish goalkeeper.

    Germany 2-0 Ukraine

The best game of the day in my opinion. Both teams had some great goalscoring chances but Germany earned the 3 points. Shkodran Mustafi scored in the early part of the game from a nice German action. In the last minutes of the game Ukraine had a corner but the Germans made a counter attack. Mesut Özil assisted Bastian Schweinsteiger for a great goal. Both of the players got in the game in the second half.

    P.S.
I'm really happy that my school is over so I can watch almost all the games. :) - I'm obsessed

Germany will take some beating, look strong as usual.

As for school one head got in to trouble by arranging to close school early on Thursday so the children could get home to watch the England v Wales game.
