On checking Hitler´s love life recently I found out that Eva Braun tried to kill herself twice, probably on 11/01/1932 and once on 5/29/1935...

The first time by shooting herself in the neck?
The other time I don´t know how.

I was wondering if anyone had more info on these and what caused them? Renate Muller? And Hitler´s reaction?

Apparently Eva was a pretty but simple little girl who had little interest in the war. Both times it was because her boyfriend was neglecting her, forgetting to write to her, etc. One of the articles said that Hitler bought her a house after her second attempt! Either way, the two didn't have a very healthy relationship, but then again, this is Hitler we're talkin' about.

Yeah, it was a shot to the neck which Eva tried the first time. More a call for attention than a true suicide try I suspect. But, Der Fuhrer was a real "Lady Killer" in the truest sense. She of course succeeded on her third attempt the day after their marriage with the cyanide capsule. But let us not forget that after a few "dates" with the Chancellor, the actress Renarte Mueller committed "suicide" by throwing herself (or was thrown) from the window of a Berlin hotel while Adolf was keeping Eva in the shadows.

Don't ingnore the fact that shortly after Hitler was released from Landsburg where he was serving that laughably short sentence for treason, he moved to Berchtesgaden. It was there that he bought or was gifted with; a "retreat". He then met sixteen year old Maria "Mitzi" Reiter, a buxom, blonde, blue-eyed beauty. Mitzi had her heart set on marriage but all Hitler would agree to was renting an apartment in Munich where they could live together.

After nearly two years of seeing each other, news of the affair started circulating and it began to negatively affect on Hitler's political career. So Hitler broke off the relationship. Shortly after Hitler stopped seeing Mitzi, she attempted to hang herself when she heard about his now taking up with Geli Raubal (Hitler’s niece by his half-sister), who had moved into Hitler’s apartment on the Berchtesgaden estate with her mother who was the lead housekeeper for her step brother Adolf.

Nearly four years after Mitzi’s suicide attempt Hitler still had her on his mind and sent Hess to ask her to come to him. She had married an innkeeper in the meantime, but she packed her bags immediately, left her husband and ran off to join Hitler who by then was living in a splendid nine room apartment with balcony on Prinzregenten Platz. "I let him do what he wanted. I was never so happy." she stated. But, Hitler still refused to marry her. She returned to her husband. Finally, two years later (when Hitler was the Fuhrer of all Germany and keeping Eva Braun as his mistress), Mitzi was summoned and she went to him the last time. Once again she attempted to win him back but Hitler still refused to marry Mitzi and again they parted. When Hitler learned in 1940 that her husband had been killed, he sent her 100 red roses.

Back to Geli Raubal, she herself was either murdered or committed suicide herself on September 8, 1931. Now this might have happened because she was impregnated by Hitler, or by his chauffeur Emil Maurice. But the death (by either method) might have also been because Geli had found out about Eva Braun whom Hitler had installed in Berchtesgaden, or the first visit by his old flame Mitzi! In these two options, she couldn’t stand the idea she had either rival, or she threatened to expose Hitler to the public for his illicit trysts! The reason that I lean toward homicide rather than suicide is on account of the parish priest in her hometown allowing her to be buried in the family plot on consecrated ground in the parish cemetery. Something not allowed in a strict rural Catholic parish, but an exception for Geli was made after a visit from Nazi officials. The Nazis weren’t at all powerful in the government yet, so they must have somehow assured/convinced the priest it wasn’t suicide which took Geli’s life.

Then there is the odd case of Unity Mitford; one of the daughters of a British aristocrat who first went to Germany in the early 1930s, when the Nazis were on the rise, and she was so overwhelmed by a visit to the Nuremberg rallies that she became determined to meet Hitler. This she managed by ingratiating herself with members of his entourage to the point where Hitler described her to friends as "a perfect specimen of Aryan womanhood". I've seen pictures of Unity Mitford in her youth, she was not a stunning beauty by any stretch of the imagination.

When the UK declared war on Hitler’s Third Reich in September 1939, she was so devastated that, in the English Garden in Munich, she shot herself in the head with a pearl-handled pistol. She survived the attempt but suffered serious brain damage and returned to Britain via Switzerland. Unity Mitford then lived as an invalid with her mother in the Cotswolds until her death, at the age of 33, in 1948.

There were strange rumors that Hitler had impregnated Miss Mitford, and while invalided in Cotswolds she gave birth to his "love child" who grew up in Britain unaware of his parentage. But that is just one of those tabloid-type tales, so probably on the level of the alien abduction and UFO stories.
