    Good evening,

My grandfather was injured on 24 Nov 1944 outside of Grossau in Hutgen Forest. He was part of Co F, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. Does anyone have any idea where in Belgium he would have been evacuated to?

His letters refer to having been in two evacuation hospitals and a general hospital in Belgium. Were those transfers done based on unit/division, does anyone know? I have managed to track most of his pre-injury movements through descriptions and APO designations. That's a little tougher with him assigned to the 4th Infantry Division.

    Any ideas. Thanks.
