I'll say it again...I'm very impressed with these wins in many sports considering the population differences.....I guess as soon as baby is born, get him/her a football, hockey stick, etc...Finland always does well in Olympic hockey no, ?
I would of loved to been in Helsinki when that goal was scored. A fellow I work with was there for the series, I am looking forward to hearing about it when he gets home. Congratulations Finland !!!! KTK
Kal-Petri After reading WWII, I went to my news page and here was a hockey story. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/dedicated-goalie-frozen-puddle-1.3396442 I doubt that most of the world can understand just how much we people in the northern nations love our hockey. KTK
This reminds me of my friend who became a professional football (soccer) player. When us normal kids were sleeping at 11PM he was shooting a ball and practicing all night. That's why he became what he is now. This kid on the link has earned my huge respect and I wish him all the best in his future hockey career.
Congratulations to the Finnish team. Good to see a small population base do so well against huge countries ~!
Yes, I think hockey is in the US somewhere 9:th most watched sport, while in Finland and I guess in Canada No 1? Now we have a new first line-up growing up as Teemu Selänne, Saku Koivu etc are retiring... Teemu is a great man he never stops smiling....his national jersey retired as well... https://youtu.be/Z6LsIArXCtU I guess they did it in Anaheim as well!
