    1. luokan Vapaudenristi + Rintatähti miekkoineen 1941 5400.00 € - Mitalit ja kunniamerkit - Keräily - Huuto.net

Article could have been awarded to:

    1. Admiral Wilhelm Canaris
    2. General der Infanterie Dr. phil. Waldemar Erfurth
    3. Vizeadmiral Kurt Fricke
    4. Generaloberst (Luftwaffe) Hans Jeschonnek
    5. General der Artillerie Alfred Jodl
    6. General der Infanterie Rudolf Ernst Otto Gercke
    7. Generaloberst Ernst Busch
    8. Generaloberst Georg Lindemann
    9. SS-Gruppenführer und Generalleutnant der Waffen-SS Felix Steiner
    10. General der Infanterie Kurt Zeitzler
    11. General der Flieger (Luftwaffe) Günther Korten

    ---------

Very interesting article and naturally quite pricey. I suppose the seller has the proof who it belonged to. The seller is from Germany. I think if the seller told the owner it would be much easier to sell the item.

Was that only awarded to 11 people?

Those are the 11 Germans that this was awarded during war time. Naturally more Finns received it but still not in great numbers.

So, more than likely the previous owner is a Finn?.....for $12K (US) I would expect to see some provenance. My 'Spidey' senses tell me that it's probably not any of the well knowns on the provided list; as that would surely drive the price higher. More than likely the seller's ambiguity is a ploy to justify the price.....reprehensible behavior.
