Flag7.jpg When my mother died in November I received the flag that was presented to my father as the Charter Commander of a new VFW post in California. It will occupy a place of honor in my collection.

    Sorry. Try this.

My father died in 1990 at only 73. Much too young, but his pride in his service was obvious. My mother (94 at her death in November) always told me that his time in the army and what he did always made him proud.

A great display. Sometimes the simplest things carry the largest value.
