    It looks heavy - almost like part of a wing-spar, or maybe an integral part of a tailplane...? :confused:

    good job Mike! nice find Nick, it's in a good condition despite the rust. It must have been left behind there as such.

    Last saturday authorities cleared 3 airplane bombs, 2x 500 pndr's and 1x 1000 pndr. Who where found during the build of the new road from Gilze to Tilburg, near the east landingstrip. Here some pictures I shot today, the photo from the 3 bombs is from the newspaper.

    Wow, 3 big boys! That's something!! Any idea on where the bombs will end up? Hopefully in a museum, or are they going to destroy them?

    Is the little monument in the middle of the street a reminder of this event or is it just something to stop traffic from getting through?

    Thats Dutch "art-work" ... has nothing to do with ww2.
