There's got to be a reason that Kangaroos are only found in Australia !? Okay - maybe a few in New Guinea, but they were probably trying to escape.

New Guinea only has the tree Kangaroo...Which does not live in Australia...
    upload_2023-11-21_9-57-54.jpeg

"Kangaroos are found in Australia because they developed when Australia had already become an island and as they were terrestrial mammals and could not swim or fly, they remained there only as they could not migrate out of there."
What this doesn't mention is the absence of other mammals in Australia...Mammals that live commonly elsewhere in the world. So marsupials dominated in Australia - They filled the gaps that are filled by other species elsewhere on Earth.
Cats, dogs, Elks (many species all over the Earth) Etc etc...Have been filled by marsupials in Australia...

IC 342: Hidden Galaxy in Camelopardalis
Image Credit & Copyright: Steve Cannistra

Explanation: Similar in size to large, bright spiral galaxies in our neighborhood, IC 342 is a mere 10 million light-years distant in the long-necked, northern constellation Camelopardalis. A sprawling island universe, IC 342 would otherwise be a prominent galaxy in our night sky, but it is hidden from clear view and only glimpsed through the veil of stars, gas and dust clouds along the plane of our own Milky Way galaxy. Even though IC 342's light is dimmed and reddened by intervening cosmic clouds, this sharp telescopic image traces the galaxy's own obscuring dust, young star clusters, and glowing star forming regions along spiral arms that wind far from the galaxy's core. IC 342 has undergone a recent burst of star formation activity and is close enough to have gravitationally influenced the evolution of the local group of galaxies and the Milky Way.

My own personal opinion, which is usually dismissed as, you dumbass!, Is
The Universe IS ! Always has been, Always will be.
I'd expand on this but after nearly a keg of Pabst don't have the inclination nor cognizant abilities at this time to expound at my current state. Maybe tomorrow. God I miss her.

    Brewtifull post, shipmate. :p

BUT, if it has always existed why did it need to be created?

WAS IT and Did We ? I believe in Science not necessarily in (some) Scientists. Theology "teaches" us of Creation but that is a human belief not a proven concept. We puny microscopic organisms might only be the evolutionary product of simple mutations. Or a compounded mistake that eventually developed "self awareness". Then again We might be the Center of all things since the Universe, according to (our) observation, surrounds Us. Place a dot on a piece of paper, fantasize that dot is our observable Universe. Now moved the dot anywhere on the paper. That is our position.
What is in between the two dots ?

We are on an average planet in an average galaxy - back in the back blocks of the Milky Way...We are most probably the "predicatble" by- product of an aging Universe and its processes...Life is inevitable...Not much is needed to "spark life" - Check out the fumeroles (Fumaroles are vents or openings at the surface where volcanic gases and vapors are emitted. Fumaroles are common features on active volcanoes, and are an important sign that a volcano is active in that fumaroles indicate the presence of heat from volcanic sources.) at the bottom of the ocean - We think life is being "created" around these things...
Science has done nothing to disprove the Creation theory - It just says that if He/She/It did create the Universe they would have to be scientists - And create a self sustaining Universe that once in place looks after itself day to day. Even Aliens cannot disprove the existence of God. God is conveniant like that.

"And suppose they do solve the problem, suppose they do leave the planet, go to other worlds in their hollow ships, what will it profit them? Suppose that they travel with the speed of light for their own life time, and then land on a star at that point, the farthest point away from here that is possible for them? They would no doubt say: ’We can now realize as never before the truly staggering expanse of the universe. It is indeed a great structure, the universe. We have traveled a far distance; we must be on the fringe of it.’
"Thus they would believe. Only I would know how wrong they were, for I can sit here and look through this telescope and see stars that are fifty and sixty times as distant as that upon which they landed. Comparatively, their star would be infinitely close to us. The poor deluded fools and their dreams of space travel!"

Okay, I respectfully request your recommended reading list. Take your time as I will most likely take Years to get through it.

Reminds me of Monkey - Great sage equal of Heaven.
He travelled for months to the ends of the Universe to see the five pillars - He scrawled his name "Monkey was here" on the middle pillar.
He flew back on his cloud for months to reach Budha and boasted of his feat of reaching the ends of the Universe...He boasted "i even scrawled my name on the middle pillar to prove it!" - Budha just giggled and held up her hand - Words like this little monkey? There on her middle finger was "Monkey was here!"...

Actually Science has done everything in it's power to prove Creationism. From the 'Big Bang' ( All From Nothing), to Evolution; mutation into soluble Being.

Yeah I've watched those. I prefer books. Documentary shows seem to push a one-way agenda and don't allow for questioning their 'findings'. Books can be researched.

You can take notes and research from there. I use them as background noise these days. Would have loved them when I was at Purdue.

I'm not kidding and don't want to BS ya, but I was actually thinking about the Universe in comparison to an atom ( Galaxy?) while ensconced in my Fortress of Solitude (shed) this afternoon.

You want to talk about "Collective Consciousness" ?
