Used to watch it until Bernie and Ferrari killed it and turned it into a procession.

Went to one of the tyre testing days at Silverstone two years ago and the sound of those cars going by was awesome.

Its about the only thing I watch regularly from TV. And this season looks interesting, ferrari and shoemaker being so lousy. Its really good to have other teams than Ferrari, McLaren or Williams winning the races.

I think this year will be more close the championship for the problems in ferrari ( really last years was boured since the 5th race you know the champion ... obviously schumacher )

seems to be a good year for renault 2 victories in 2 rings.

    good show this year...

As far as I am concerned Renault may continue to win, but I really hope for a close championship with the most possible teams being able to win races.

Renault really gambled and took a big risk when they developed their new car back in july 2004 without really knowing the technical specifications for the 2005 season but for the moment it seems to pay off.

A boring pointless sport. If I want to watch cars going round in a procession I'll sit down beside a roundabout.

All sports in that case are pointless, why watch 22 men/women kick a ball about, and what is good about watching 30 men jump on each other, why watch a worm or maggot wriggle on a hook while being dipped in water?

I think you just covered the reason why I don't watch any of those although I've never thought of fishing as a spectator sport.

The Irish sport of Hurling since there is a good chance of seeing someone get smacked round the face with a hurling stick (big lump of wood)

Hurling (is that the same as Shinty?) is a truely vicious sport.
One of the main attractions of Rugby for many people is that it is essentially a long drawn out fight, but with referees. :D

F1? Not really. It is not particularly exciting compared other forms of car races...

    True.
The reason why F1 is more popular than other car races, is that it is the top of racing sport when you consider the speed of the cars, and generally the technical and financial resources involved.

It's a bit the same in football, often matches in lower leagues are more exciting and diverting than first league games, but which one do attract more people....??

I don't really watch a lot of sports because either they are about a repeated process and therefore boring (anything with races and most ballgames) or they are about people getting hurt, which doesn't really seem like amusement to me.

Oh, how civilized am I. Goody two shoes. :D

here in monterrey we have a race of the cart serie but nothing like the bzzzzz of a formula one racecar compared to the alcohol mix used in the cart serie.

If we compare the circuits the F1 circuits are more funny due to the wide possibilities can happen during the race than circular circuits.

to many people can be boured but the race is to complee a number of laps ( distance ) or 2 hours for the pilots safety because can reduce the weight in 5 kilograms just for the stress ( if you are seat in a bomb charged with fuel to max speed shure you can have many stress)

Awwright, nice F1 Bahrain GP. Alonso won again, Trulli was second and Räikkönen was third. Ferrari, no points.
It was really fun to watch, thanks to Pedro de la Rosa. He really stole the show this time. :D

yes, De La Rosa was most entertaining to watch, a constant "will he or wont he" get passed or drive off the track. Well done to Renault and Toyota though for their consistency. Nice to see some other teams at the top for a change!
