forum date

Would be interested to know on what date this Forum was commenced?
or even, when did it start?

 

A good question anyway. When? I think there were some changes since I'm here.

 

the reason that I ask is because some of the comments to this forum are dated 1970, and seeing the ages of some of our top brass ,as Victor Meldew would say "I can't believe it!"

any reason for this error? i too, have seen this error on some posts.

 

On February 12th of this year the forum switched to a more modern look, with the shiny grey and everything, the way it looks now. For some reason all the posts made before that date were from then on rendered to have been posted on January 1st 1970. I don't know why the BBphp thing does this, but the actual forum was started on August 9th 2003.

Before that there was a small and relatively motionless forum located at the root site, where it had been for about two years.

So the answer to your question is, whatever is dated 1st Jan 1970 was actually made between August 9 2003 and February 12 2004.

 

Don't worry, with the date 1970 this may be probably the oldest internet forum in the world!!! 8)

 

And I've been posting for more than twice my age!
