I am reminded that during my first few weeks in the Army I received a letter from an older brother who was already in the Forces. I was quite touched to know that he was thinking of me and couldn't wait to read the contents.

It was very short so I still remember the contents.

What a remarkable set of letters and strange they survived in a near empty container

My father is a collector and seller of antiques and he is always in attics, cellars and basements. I am always amazed at the amount of items he obtains simply by opening boxes. He recently found a cache of letters and magazines from WWI in remarkably excellent condition. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Of course nothing close to this find.
