Thanks for posting alieneyes. I've posted the link here on the WW2Talk website. I will miss him. I had some research for him that I hadn't yet typed up for him. I thought I hadn't seen him around the Talk site for a while. He might have found the answer to his mystery now he's safely on the other side. RIP Fred.
Dang. I had noticed he wasn't posting but figured he had moved on to other pursuits. Godspeed to you, Fred.
Sad news. I spoke to him on the phone a few months back, he's certainly a member that made an impression. Godspeed Fred.
RIP Fred Wilson http://ww2talk.com/forums/topic/59093-forum-roll-of-honour/#entry713671 A lovely man Ron
So strange to miss someone you never met nor really knew. I always enjoyed Fred's unique post, never ever dull . the Internet, that best and worst of all technologies, has linked all of us who otherwise might not know of each other's existence but can share and indeed debate our mutual interest. I did a double take seeing Fred's name, surely not our Fred and to me far to young. I feel the same about urg whom is walking about in The Cotswold's ! Is it me ir did I detect a change in Fred's post over the last few months? I hope he left us peacefully. RIP, Fred
Best wishes to Fred and his family...Vernon is not far and have visited it many times. It is beautiful, with a lot of hills and valleys. Would be a great place to glide. ..Folks could see his house in the Postal Thread here. He had a knack. Always with the jokes and emoji's...DId not know he had a head injury, and now regret any negative responses i may have had. Forgive me Fred, rest in peace now.
