Free Download of 581 WWII Infantry & Armor Officer Monographs

I recently downloaded and organized the World War II Student Monograph and Paper Collection from the Fort Benning webpage. The collection has 581 personal experience monographs and student papers written by US Army officers while attending the Infantry and Armor Schools after World War II. In sum, it presents a unique view of the war as seen by those who served in combat in the European and Pacific Theaters of War. The papers describe combat operations, actions, and campaigns in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Germany, and the various Pacific Island to include Guadalcanal, the Marianas, Saipan, the Solomon Islands, Okinawa, the Philippines, and others. Many of papers include hand-drawn maps and diagrams.
