Christian brought me to this when he mentioned that the Hetzer looked kind of futuristic among the other German tank destroyers. I think there are several weapons among the WW2 world arsenal that look out of place. Weapons where you'd say when you first saw them, "hey, they couldn't make that back in the forties!"

Things like the B17's ventral turret, or the Dragon Wagon. I'm sure you've thought of something similar once.

I can´t think of anything more futuristic looking than the Lippisch P.13a. Looks extraterrestrial.

The Horten would qualify as well.

Sure they could (but not exactly mass-produce them)...

I have to agree. It does look like something out of one of those old 1950s B-movies.

shifting topic to smallarms, what about the German G11? that's the most futuristic wwii MG i've ever seen... heck it looks futuristic even today. Has anyone ever seen "League of Extraordinary Men" with Sean Conery? it looks somewhat like those machine guns the Germans had.... even though the film is majorly fiction considering it was WWI era.

Looks a bit like those modern Sig Sauer (spelling?) guns - and they look futuristic!

Sorry to contradict you, but as far as i know and the sources i have (even in http://www.hkpro.com/g11.htm), development began in 1969.
Nd the pic is the 1975 prototype.

I have no knowledge of this gun besides what i've seen on this site. if you scroll down, you can see the gun hanging next to other wwii german weapons, and since it's in a wwii museum i assume it was invented during wwii

Hi some guy, and welcome to the forum. :)

I have to tell you that Kellhound is right though. The Heckler und Koch G11 is indeed a modern weapon and development didn´t start until 1969, just as Kellhound wrote.

alrighty then ;) guess i should pick sources on the internet a bit more wisely when looking for accurate info. any thoughts on why this gun was in a wwii museum tho?? i guess this was a mix of more modern weapons too...

Similar airplane acted in Indiana Jones, but equipped with different engines. Do you remember?
