Trying to identify possible unit to which a FW-190 belonged to: strafed Alsdorf, Mariadorf and Mariagrube on 1 December 1944. These towns were not far from the German-Dutch border or from Aachen.

Among those strafed was the 978th Engineer Maintenance Company at the Mariagrube Coal Mine (with large slag pile). Two EM were wounded, one of whom was my father.
