Does anyone know where to get gamepads for Call of Duty: World at War for a Windows Vista 64 bit operating system? I can find no enjoyment in keyboard and mouse and am about ready to take this stuff [Edited for language, Musso] back (game) for a refund!

    First, watch the language.
Secondly, have you tried to google it?
Finally, I love keyboard/mouse for FPS! Never used a gamepad before and don't see the need!

Personally I use the N52TE version gamepad. It's in my opinion a very good alternative to the keyboard, yet it has it's similarities. When I bought this for Battlefield 2 I could see my game K to D ratio improve noticeably.

That being said it definitely has it's flaws, and the deciding factor would be how you were planning to use it. Word on the street is that the D-pad for movement is flawed. If you just use the keypad for movement you will be happy.

There is another competitor to the N52TE and that is the Logitech G13.

I haven't recommended anything on this site before because the N52TE has it's flaws, and I've never tried the Logitech G13.

In my opinion the Xbox or Playstation style gamepads really aren't meant for FPS games.

I cannot play FPS games with a gamepad. PC is the only way to go for FPS games IMO. The keyboard/mouse combination is just so much more natural for me the way things move in relation to the game.

I belong to a tactical COD clan that has been around for 5 years. PC allows so much more latitude with regards to modding and tweaking weapon configs.

Yea mouse+keyboard is best for FPS games. But if you must use a gamepad, the best PC pad out there is easily the Xbox 360 pad. Either find a corded one (which is USB, but I don't think they sell them in stores) or you can buy a regular 360 pad along with the MS wireless adapter to use it on the PC (MS uses a proprietary wireless technology - it isn't bluetooth) and it works great for about everything.

This thread is a bit old to be digging back up.
