'Not sure about number 4 either - the wings, the blade, the serpents and maybe a skull on top....hmmm not sure. Which symbols are military and which are dodgy national socialism anyway ?? I dunno !

Overall though to me most of them look just plain old-fashioned German military. Great thread Jim can you tell us more ?

 

All i can add Dave is that these straps meant a few things when worn, one was of course to show the rank, and his branch of service, also they were used to hold military equipment in place on the shoulders... It is obvious they meant more than this but i cant help matey.. :blue:
