I have read a book on German paratroopers, which is probably based partly on history partly fiction. In it was a situation in 1944, as they tried new parachutes and somehow it turned out to be that the new spray on them was more like glue. In the book it said that men from several planes jumped before they understood what was happening and stopped the practice.

I wonder if anybody else has read on this or knows about this? I did not find any sites in the net covering this.

    Thanx for answers!

Wonder if anyone has read about this possible incident?

Naturally they stopped the men from jumping as soon as they realised during the first trial that the parachute did not open.
