21st Inf. sitting around having a smoke
My word, they are big boys, how does that song go about the pies?
The one in the middle looks about Kn*******!
Knackered? Is that a swear word?
Gosh, and I never even knew.... Boy is my generation de-sensitised  ... dammned mtv
Whatever, but you got to admit the poor old chap does look a little tired!
Then again, you don't know what they're smoking. :smok:
Chin(s) up, lads, the war will be over by Christmas!
'Must be the SauerKraut Brigade...
Them 'boys is lookin' quite well-fed. A credit to the German Quartermaster Corps.
Please, all in good fun now.
After all, you posted it-up!
well you are right, we are well fed. good job noticing that. ijust thougt i would show you guys some of our guys in the unit, oh and thats me on the far left.
It is nice to see some more pictures from our American re-enactors
your old kriegspfarrer is the one in the center. and this site is up the side of a mountain so I am indeed knackered. the morning was hectic and i ran around doing lots of stuff and didnt know the photo-op was on the agenda. the lost batallions tunic being shorter than most repros emphaizes girth and I am short too. no excuses, get back on my bike and ride myself thin, but i will be 67 years old in a couple months so not sure i can recoup much of my youthful figure. thanks for pointing out that we are well fed.
Thanks Ricky,, [Edited by Moderator]
Nice picture, hope you enjoy it, thx for sharing.
Depending on the reenactment, do ya'll have different period uniforms to select from, or are you always members of the 21st Infantry?
'Reason I ask, I just love the 3-color "dapple" german camo-smocks used in late-war. Were these only issued to elite-troops?
