    Hello,

I am creating a post for anyone who may be interested in a one of a kind unique collection of Diaries from a German Soldier from WW II.

    My Father was that person.

I have a set of 5 diaries that my father made while a soldier in the German Army during World War II. My Father created diaries that detail accounts of campaigns and even created some handwritten accounts of some movements of campaign activities. The diaries also contain very unique and original one of a kind black and white photos, original Military documents which are all in Excellent condition.

I am working on creating the photos of these diaries and I will have these viewable shortly. This is an opportunity for a serious collector to buy a Unique one of a kind Collection of German WW II History. The Photos have never been released and are one of a kind and original.

The Diaries are all written in German, if anyone is interested you can E-Mail me and I can discuss these Diaries.

Hi, are you sure you want to sell these? After all its part of your history, heritage etc.
Once sold, gone for ever. I would hate to think that regret might set in later in life.

    regards John

I also would caution you against selling these artifacts. They represent a unique point of view of history. You may come to regret not having them later on. They are a piece of your family background and as such, are irreplaceable.

I echo both sides of this thing. For me though, I could never part with my Dads WWII and Korean War stuff, not the WWI and WWII stuff that was my Grandfathers stuff. These things almost made their way to the local garbage dump thanks to my oldest brother whose head was in his a__ at the time. Luckily, I just happened to look in the garbage dumpster behind my Dads Paint store-and just happened to see the sleeve of my Granddads Naval Captains jacket sticking out from underneath a large piece of cardboard that I guess was supposed to be an attempt at hiding it. Well, I climbed into said dumpster and went through it like a fine-toothed comb, found everything taking it all out and hiding everything someplace I knew my brother never would be able to find them. Well, a few minutes before we left for the day, I went and retrieved (to my oldest brothers pistivity) all the items he attempted to toss away. Also, thanks to me-my Dad got a Military Funeral-which my oldest brother tried to keep from happening-but failed.

BTW, everything is in MY possession now and my oldest brother will never set eyes on that stuff again.

This guy could also be trying a scam too.

Im already suspecious of this guy on reading his one and only post and in that he seems to be stressing doing a deal by email. Im staying as far away from this guy like one would from a SKUNK whose tail is raised and ready to spray.

You have to think, in this situation, that a person like this is a scammer. We will see.

Whether it's legit or not is another matter, the gentleman may choose to sell this....... on Ebay , not on this forum.

If this post should be his only one, he might face a permanent ban for a start. We can be understandable about veteran members who have something to sell from time to time and we could consider open a section for that purpose in the future.

At this point it is not the case and we make a differencne between our veteran members and those who join this place only to make money. We need postive contributions, not militaria dealers. This thread is now closed and I shall leave it here for a while so eveyone can read this.
