... unless you're a British motorist. I passed my Driving Test today, so I'm legally allowed to drive around on my own now. :D

I'll get a pilots license before I get a driver's permit. 18 and still don't have one, and don't plan on getting one, lol ;)

Brits always drive on the wrong side of the road. I heard that they are considering implementing right-side driving. To prevent a public outcry, however, they're going to start with a test period, during which only trucks will drive on the right side. If that's successful, they'll switch for all cars.

    Yay Ricky! Well done!

Now all you have to do is be able to afford the car!

I passed my test at 17, I really don't know how I would have managed without one for the last however many years.

    Brilliant stuff! :D

    Congratulations.
Do ya'll still call the trunks on your automobiles "boots" or have you all converted to hatchbacks?
    :D
I took Drivers' Education in my high school at age 15. My football and wrestling coach was also my driving instructor. One day whilst behind the wheel, "Coach" said "Terrell, you're driving like an old woman! Put your foot in it!" He always seemed so yell when he spoke... like a drill instructor.
I says "YES SIR!" and floored it. I kept my foot to the floor until he told me to let off. We were driving a big 1970 Plymouth sedan with a 383 cubic inch V-8. We were flying down the two-lane county road with that engine just howing, the scenery zipping-by at a dizzying rate... and I remember seeing 85mph on the speedo. (I think the speed limit was 45 mph.)
I wasn't about to let-up til "Coach" said so.
    I scared him that day.

On the topic of driving here in 'the states...
Seems every winter, when the first snow finally arrives, there is a 'flurry' of wrecks. (That one is for you, Merlin.... the Master of Pun.)
The news-people always qualify the number by saying that people had simply forgotten how to drive in bad weather since last winter.
I maintain most never learned in the first place!

:D :D You will inform us when you wil be on the road and rough area of movement, will you? :D :D

    :D :D Just in case i'm in UK :D :D :D
Since wrong side of the road is just a mater of perspective (and geography - i live somewhere in the rest of the world)) it wouldn't be a good thing if we meet on the road :D :D Result's would be catastrophic
