    I was a fan.

    Still am I guess...

    It's a case of... Liked it as a child/when it first aired...
    Bought the DVDs later in life... Sold the DVDs later in life after having them for a fair few years...
    Not currently in any 'Goodnight Sweetheart' phases that I know of; but that shouldn't stop me mentioning it.
    Don't think it was popular outside of Britain, but, for the uninitiated; It was a British sitcom that was produced between 1993 to 1999 about a time traveling polygamist basically. He stumbles across a way into the past/WWII London and thus the show is created around that and the main character's double life. - Light hearted comedy.

    Was aired in Australia - A favourite actor...remember him as a teenager playing the prince and the pauper...
    Was in "Only fools and horses" too wasn't he?

    The Poms voted "Only fools and horses" as the funniest comedy ever! Man have they got short memories...
    Always thought his modern wife was better than his WW2 wife...

    Initially quite entertaining but tended to run out of steam and should have ended well before it did.
